Ttek Accountants was founded in 2025 by Thomas Edgar, a CPA with more than 25 years of experience in tax, accounting, and technology-enabled process improvement. Thomas has worked across public accounting and private industry, developing deep expertise in individual and business taxation, international tax, financial products, valuation, and operational finance.
Before launching Ttek, Thomas was a tax partner at Citrin Cooperman, serving high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, alternative investment managers, and fintech companies. He joined Citrin through its 2022 merger with Untracht Early, where he had been a tax partner and director of operations, overseeing all firmwide processes while managing a book of clients since 2014.
Earlier in his career, Thomas held tax, controller, and analyst roles at different global macro hedge fund manager. Prior to that he had several years in audit, tax, and accounting roles at Untracht Early and PwC. He began his career in 1997 as an accounting clerk at a family owned wholesale distributor of electronic parts.
Technology wise, Thomas has consistently sought to leverage technology to modernize tax, accounting, and operational workflows throughout his career. He has extensive experience evaluating, designing, and implementing both custom-built and commercial systems. He is proficient in VBA and SQL. He has designed relational databases and custom software applications that provide automation, complex reporting, and overall workflow optimization. Project management and business analysis are among his core passions.
Thomas is deeply engaged in the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and how it will shape the future of professional services. He actively researches and monitors AI developments, with a particular focus on practical, real-world applications for tax and accounting functions and how the technology can be integrated to create more efficient workflows, enhance analysis, and open new possibilities for clients.
